(Recipe) Beginning of a New Year – Mini Potato Cutlets (aloo tikkis)

Happy new year! Sorry for the delay in writing. Its been a stressful and great year. Hope everyone enjoyed the long Chinese New year holiday. As the year of the goat starts I thought I would start doing something new. So here is my first recipe to start the year off. I really wanted to make things a bit different this year. As you all know I love having cocktail parties at home. And when it comes to food am just a bit controlling and everything has to be perfect. I think these mini potato cutlets (aloo tikkis) are perfect start to any party. They are tiny little cutlets with a drop of mint chutney (pudina chutney).

Mini Potato Cutlets (Aloo tikkis) Recipe

3 Potatoes (medium sized), boiled and smashed
1 tbsp Red onion, chopped
2 tsp Ginger, chopped
1 tsp Coriander, chopped
1 tsp Green chili, chopped (add more if you like more spice)
1 tbsp Japanese breadcrumb
1/2 tsp Turmeric
Chili powder, to taste
Salt, to taste
Oil, for frying

Mix all the ingredients, except the oil.
Form patties, 9g each to be exact.
Heat oil in frying pan, cook till golden brown.
Serve each with a drop of mint chutney.
